Our Story

It all started with a passion for weddings. After working in the wedding magazine industry for years, I started Styled and Seated - a wedding and events styling company. This naturally led to exploring the wonderful world of flowers.

As demand grew for the floral side of the business, I worked to hone my floristry skills and offer beautiful, modern and natural flowers for the most special of days. It has been eleven years of amazing wedding days and super special events and whilst we will continue to run with Styled and Seated - something closer to home was calling….

The opportunity to re-open a much loved local flower shop seemed like a little ray of hope after a year of Covid pandemic uncertainty. Our Remy & Rose shop blossomed for two years and I found a gap in the market for our wild, seasonal blooms that are made with heart and attention to detail every time. (The shop is named after our dog Remy, in case you were wondering!)

Thanks to the cost of living crisis, it was no longer viable to have a retail premises, so we made the decision to return to a studio setting - but very much keeping the now thriving Remy & Rose business going.

Whilst things for the minute are still very uncertain in the economy, one thing I know is this: I Love Flowers. I love the local community, having lived in Whitley Bay my whole life, and if there’s one thing people need right now it is a little bit of lovely dropped onto their doorstep to say ‘Thank You,’ ‘Happy Birthday,’ or simply ‘We Miss You’

Together with my team, at Remy & Rose we aim to create arrangements and bouquets with the best of seasonal flowers available, from a luxury gift bouquet to a simple wrap of foliage.
